The University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD) is located in the south of Düsseldorf. Around 50,000 inpatients and around 300,000 outpatients are treated annually in 29 clinics and 30 institutes. The hospital has more than 1200 inpatient beds. It employs around 9500 staff, including 1300 nurses and 975 doctors.
