This month's Jour Fixe of the NRW State Initiative for Research Data Management focused on an exciting topic: the connection between research data management and research software development. Adina Wagner, coordinator for research software and research data management at the [Forschungszentrum Jülich]({{< relref path="../../sites/fzj" lang="en" >}}) Institute of Neuroscience, was one of the speakers. There was also a lively exchange with data management experts on the similarities and interfaces between the two fields with the experience of the ABCD-J project, in which the close interlinking of research data management and research software development is central.
